Manager, Modern Trade
Job Description
Job Summary:
The overall role of Manager, Modern Trade is to plan and initiate promotional campaigns/activities aligned with brand strategies in modern trade channel to promote value of brand through attractive display planogram and various consumer promotion programs.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead Modern Trade sales team to achieve sales targets, outlets coverage, and promote branding visibility
2. Develop and implement strategic plan in line with brand strategy to expand retails and modern trade channels
3. Initiate tactical sales promotions to acquire sales and branding opportunity and block the opportunity against competitors
4. Provide evaluation and market analysis on trade and key account and provide recommendations to enhance modern trade performance
5. Build close relationship with business partners from modern trade to ensure high level of supports while involving promotional activities/campaigns
6. Conduct competitor analysis and provide suggestions
7. Develop capacity among modern trade sales team to ensure best practices modern trades’ outlets executions not limited to knowledge in identifying perfect outlets, stock rules, products shelf life and planogram
8. Other tasks assigned by line manager
Success Factors:
1. Managing modern trade channel requires broad understanding in branding concept, consumer programs and market analytics,
2. Implementing branding activities within limited budget allocations requires considered high level of creativity and negotiation skills
Job Requirements
1. Education:
- Bachelor Degree in Management, Marketing, Business Administration, or relevant fields
2.Experiences:
- Possess 3 years of professional experience in FMCG or Trading company, sales channel management, preferably in trade channel and account management
- Experience in multiple accounts management
3. Skills and knowledge:
- Demonstrate good communication skills.
- Demonstrate broad knowledge in trade marketing, retailer planning and creativity
- Demonstrate good command of English and Khmer (Chinese is a plus)
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point) and other design applications
