Job Description

-Serve as the main point of contact for the outsourced cleaning company’s site supervisor or team leader.
-Daily and weekly inspections ensure the cleaning company meets contract standards, scope, and KPIs.
-Review and approve the cleaning company’s schedules and staffing to ensure full facility coverage, especially for school events.
-Document, report, and track all cleaning deficiencies or contract breaches, ensuring timely and effective corrective action by the cleaning company.
-Oversee and coordinate deep cleaning projects performed by the cleaning company during school holidays and school breaks.
-Perform detailed inspections of all high-traffic and sensitive areas (classrooms, toilets, canteen, specialised rooms).
-Monitor the cleaning company’s use and maintenance of equipment, ensuring all machinery is kept in good working order and stored appropriately on school property.
-Collect feedback on cleaning issues from the school community and communicate changes to the cleaning company.
-Responsible for overseeing the night-time cleaning team to ensure all classrooms are properly cleaned before the start of school each day.
-Manage resources for cost-effectiveness, prevent waste, and ensure proper storage.
-Manage all solid and liquid waste (including medical/e-waste). This includes collecting waste data and overseeing sewage quality testing, ensuring compliance with ESG requirements.
-Maintain comprehensive records of inspection reports, performance metrics, and corrective actions taken by the cleaning company.
-Control supply inventory to ensure responsible ordering and limit waste/misuse.
-Monitor cleaning company inventory to prevent work interruptions.
-Serve as the primary liaison with the waste management company, ensuring the established schedule is strictly followed for the timely collection of all waste streams (general, medical, and electronic).
-Perform other duties assigned by the Facilities Manager to support safe school operations.

Job Requirements

-Proven experience in a supervisory, quality control, or contract management role, preferably within a school or high-end institutional environment.
-Strong technical knowledge of professional cleaning procedures, sanitation best practices, and industry quality standards.
-In-depth knowledge of Health & Safety regulations, including COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health)
-Requires strong communication and interpersonal skills to enforce standards and manage the vendor relationship.
-Highly detail-oriented, with strong observational, organizational, and administrative reporting skills.
-Certification or formal training in Health and Safety procedures, specifically including COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health), is often a requirement.
-Thorough knowledge of health, safety, and hygiene regulations, including the strict adherence to Child Protection/Safeguarding policies.
