Accounting Manager (ISI Steel)
Job Description
• Maintain the accuracy and timeliness of financial records, ensuring correct posting of amounts, accounts, and periods, and providing insightful financial analysis.
• Conduct monthly reconciliations of key balance sheet accounts (cash, fixed assets, inventory, prepayments, payables, receivables, loans, etc.) to ensure data integrity.
• Prepare and analyze monthly financial reports to support management review and decision-making.
• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger by correctly recording and classifying financial transactions and verifying SAP postings.
• Drive month-end and year-end closing processes, including preparing schedules and analyzing accounts to meet deadlines.
• Oversee and manage all core accounting functions: Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, fixed assets, PO closing, and monthly closing activities.
• Develop and implement accounting processes, internal controls, chart of accounts, and accounting policies to optimize workflows.
• Review balance sheet accounts and prepare detailed supporting schedules for key items.
• Monitor departmental expenditures to ensure adherence to budget forecasts.
• Review and approve payment details against supporting documentation in the SAP payment proposal.
• Provide leadership and guidance to accounting staff, managing and reviewing their work to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
Job Requirements
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance, Accounting, or preferred certifications include CFA, CPA, and ACCA.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience supervising an accounting team
• Proficient in MS Office, SAP and various accounting software applications.
• Core Competencies: Proven ability to track records accurately, with strong analytical, organizational, and project management capabilities. Exceptional attention to detail and execution skills are critical.
