Job Description

Role Objective:
This role is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of documentation pertinent to barge operations, bill of lading (BL) issuance, cargo release, customs filings, and customer communications. It necessitates meticulous attention to detail, robust organizational skills, and the capacity for effective collaboration with multiple stakeholders.

Minimum requirement, if you have experience in data entry, documentation, customer service and is a hard-working person, we can train you up.

Job Responsibilities:
● Manage weekly barge availability checks and coordinate space allocation with the Booking Team.
● Verify Loading Container Modules and communicate discrepancies to the Booking Team.
● Process Electronic Shipping Instructions (E-SI) and upload to OPUS.
● Handle draft BLs, coordinate amendments, and ensure timely invoice issuance.
● Notify terminals regarding vessel loading confirmations and promptly resolve Verified Gross Mass (VGM) issues.
● Verify BL accuracy for Customs Filings and manage manual BL issuances as required.
● Conduct weekly Revenue and Rate Audits utilizing OPUS.
● Manage document storage and ensure compliance with filing requirements.
● Coordinate with customers regarding payments and facilitate Cargo Release.
● Process Change of Destination requests and manage customer communications effectively.
● Provide assistance to customers for payment processing or collection of Original Bill of Lading (OBL) or BL copies for Certificate of Origin (CO) permit applications.
● Address all CCA Matters.
● Provide support for customs clearance procedures and documentation.
● Monitor and track shipments, providing timely updates to relevant parties.
● Collaborate with logistics partners to ensure seamless cargo movement.
● Prepare and submit comprehensive reports on export activities and performance.
● Maintain current knowledge of international trade regulations and compliance requirements.
● Undertake other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Company.

Job Requirements

● A bachelor's degree in business, logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred.
● Proficiency in English (written and spoken) is required; knowledge of additional languages may be advantageous.
● Experience in export operations, logistics, or a related field.
● Key advantage: Comprehensive understanding of international shipping documentation, including Bills of Lading (BLs) and customs declarations.
● Exceptional organizational and time management skills with meticulous attention to detail.
● Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with customers and stakeholders.
● Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a fast-paced environment.
● Adept problem-solving skills and the ability to efficiently resolve discrepancies.
● Hard-working individual, willing to finish work over the weekend when needed.
