Job Description

-Production & Operations
Oversee daily production activities and ensure output meets quality, cost, and delivery targets.
Monitor and report Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Ensure adherence to production schedules, standard operations, and internal delivery processes.
Manage engineering changes, production trials, model changes, and pilot builds.
Handle equipment issues and collaborate with maintenance for line availability.
Prepare production budgets and control costs, waste, downtime, and scrap.
-Quality, Safety & Compliance
Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental, Quality, and Audit standards.
Maintain Quality Management and Environmental Management Systems.
Address non-conformities, customer concerns, and root causes using corrective actions.
Promote Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and Lean Manufacturing practices.
-People Management
Lead, motivate, coach, and develop production operators and technicians.
Conduct performance appraisals and manage attendance, discipline, and incident investigations.
Identify training needs and ensure proper skills development.
Promote a high-performance culture and positive work behavior.
-Continuous Improvement & Lean Manufacturing
Drive productivity, efficiency, and quality improvements using Lean, Kaizen, FMEA, SPC, and Poka-Yoke tools.
Encourage employee suggestions and continuous improvement initiatives.
Improve work procedures and production processes.
-Coordination & Communication
Coordinate with planning, engineering, quality, supply chain, and other departments.
Communicate goals and KPIs clearly to teams through shift briefings and visual management.
Interface with production scheduling and management teams to optimize performance.
-Required Qualifications & Experience
Minimum 7+ years’ experience in manufacturing, preferably automotive.
Manufacturing or Engineering degree preferred.
Strong experience in high-volume production environments.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, Kanban, APQP, FMEA, SPC, and 7 QC tools.
Strong leadership, problem-solving, planning, and decision-making skills.

Job Requirement

a) Production Oversight: Monitor the assembly line to ensure that production targets are met efficiently and safely.
b) Quality Control: Implement and supervise quality control processes to ensure that all products meet the required standards.
c) Staff Management: Recruit, train, and manage staff, ensuring that all team members are performing their duties effectively.
d) Process Improvement: Identify areas for improvement in the production process and implement changes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
e) Coordination: Work closely with other departments, such as engineering, supply chain, and quality control, to streamline operations and resolve any issues.
f) Safety Compliance: Ensure that all safety protocols are followed to maintain a safe working environment.
g) Reporting: Prepare and present reports on production performance, including any issues and proposed solutions.1. Lead and manage team of operatives for high volume assembly
plant.
h) Maintain Quality Management System & Environmental Management System, updating procedures and train team members where required
