Job Description

1. Waste Management & Operations
• Supervise day‑to‑day waste management activities within warehouse and production areas.
• Ensure correct segregation of waste streams including general waste, recyclables, hazardous waste, packaging waste, scrap materials, and automotive-specific waste.
• Control waste storage areas to ensure cleanliness, safety, and compliance.
• Coordinate internal waste movement from production lines to designated storage areas.
2. Compliance & Documentation
• Ensure compliance with company policies and local environmental regulations related to waste handling and disposal.
• Maintain accurate waste records, manifests, disposal certificates, and contractor documentation.
• Support audits and inspections by internal teams and regulatory authorities.
• Report waste performance data to the Warehouse Manager and EHS team.
3. Contractor & Cost Management
• Coordinate with waste disposal and recycling contractors.
• Monitor contractor performance, schedules, and service quality.
• Support cost control through proper waste segregation, recycling, and volume reduction.
• Highlight opportunities for cost savings and waste reduction initiatives.
4. Health, Safety & Environmental Control
• Enforce safe work practices for waste handling within warehouse and plant areas.
• Ensure proper use of PPE and safe handling of hazardous and sharp materials.
• Identify and mitigate risks related to waste storage, spills, and material contamination.
• Support incident investigations related to waste handling or environmental issues.
5. Team Supervision & Training
• Supervise waste handlers, warehouse support staff, or assigned operators.
• Provide on‑the‑job training on waste segregation, handling procedures, and safety requirements.
• Conduct tool‑box talks and awareness activities related to waste management.
• Monitor team performance and discipline related to waste control.
6. Continuous Improvement & Sustainability
• Support plant waste reduction and recycling targets.
• Analyze waste trends from car assembly and warehouse operations.
• Propose improvements to material return, packaging reuse, and scrap management.
• Support ISO 14001, ESG, or sustainability programs if applicable.

Job Requirement

Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Safety, or related field.(or equivalent experience in waste management)
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in waste management or environmental operations
• At least 1–2 years in a supervisory or leadership role
1.Required Skills:
• Knowledge of environmental and waste management regulations
• Understanding of hazardous waste handling and documentation
• Strong leadership and team supervision skills
• Basic computer skills (MS Excel, reporting, record keeping)
• Problem-solving and continuous improvement mindset
2.Preferred Skills:
• Environmental, ISO 14001, or EHS certifications
• Hazardous waste handling or safety training certification
3.Working Conditions:
• Industrial / plant environment
• Exposure to waste materials with required PPE
• May require shift work or weekend support
• Outdoor and indoor work conditions
