Duties and Responsibilities
-Collaboratively work as a team with the homeroom teachers to ensure teaching quality. -Attend planning time when necessary.
-Co-manage the classroom effectively and efficiently with the homeroom teachers to enhance the teaching and learning environment for both students and teachers.
-Share teaching responsibilities/sessions with the homeroom teachers. Deliver planned learning activities to either small groups or individual students as instructed by the homeroom teacher.
-Set expectations and goals with the homeroom teachers.
-Assist students who are struggling with their studies in the four subjects (work with the homeroom teacher in facilitating help classes at lunchtime).
-Co-assess the students’ performances by providing meaningful feedback to students, during learning activities, to support and guide their learning. Provide feedback to the homeroom teacher on student progress.
-Rotate the classroom roles with homeroom teachers.
-Maintain a well-organized, safe, and efficient classroom space.
-Support the class teacher to build a classroom environment of respect and rapport.
-Ensure student safety both inside and outside of the classroom.
-Acts as a bridge to parents in translating student progress and important communications between school and parents.
-Collaborate with our Student Support Services team, as and when required, this may include following post-referral strategies with individual students.
-Translate for both parents and teachers at PTCs and when required during the school day.
-Carry out admin duties such as photocopying, printing, and preparing materials, and resources for classroom activities.
